Background: I wanted to create a portrait of my friend, Karen, that captured her personality. Since she is interested in fashion design, I thought it fitting that she could be wearing a unique dress. I wanted all of the colors in the portrait to be lively to reflect her vibrant…

Childhood


Background: I was inspired to draw a childhood friend eating a muffin after I went through some of the old photos on my computer. Her eyes were a very bright blue color , which seemed to reflect the sadness of her bad family situation at the time. This inner sadness…
